Early Career Membership

Members must be under 35 years of age or have fewer than five years of industry experience.

As an AWS Early Career member, you receive a wide range of benefits, including:

• Discounts on AWS Programs and Services: Save on certification exams, education and training, conferences and events, and AWS standards.
• Complimentary access to the AWS Career Readiness Online Course ($135 value). This course offers insights into best practices for on-the-job interactions and situations, resume development for trades, and be prepared for an interview and bench test to stand out as a top candidate. Professional Development Hours will also be awarded upon completion
• Access to Digital Publications: Stay updated with industry trends through the Welding Journal and Inspection Trends publications.
• Professional Networking Opportunities: Connect with other professionals through the AWS Member Network, local section affiliations, and industry events and meetings.

The annual dues for AWS Early Career membership are $55.

An AWS Early Career Membership is limited to five years and then an Individual Membership would be recommended. However, at any time you can upgrade to an Individual Membership to receive the additional benefits offered in AWS Certification or online products and services.

Throughout the year, AWS hosts various Member Webinars, all announced in the AWS Member Network.

These sessions are tailored to help you maximize your membership benefits, engage directly with AWS experts presenting on key topics, and prepare for upcoming applications or nomination processes. Take advantage of these interactive opportunities to stay informed and make the most of your AWS membership!

Go to My AWS Login/Join or my.aws.org and log in. Click on the “Membership” button on the left side of the page. Under “Manage Personal Membership click on the option for “Member Network”. You will be redirected to the website membernetwork.aws.org.

If this is your first time logging in to the Member Network, please read over the E-Group Rules & Etiquette and click on the ‘I Accept’ box at the bottom of the page. You must accept these rules before continuing to the AWS Member Network. You will only need to do this the first time you log in. After that, clicking on Member Network will take you straight into the Network.

To join AWS as an Early Career Member, look for the “My AWS Login/Join” link on this web page. If you already have an online profile with AWS, log in using your email address and look for the Membership tab, where you can select an option and complete the application process and payment. If you do not already have an online profile with AWS, go to “My AWS Login/Join” and select the “Become a Member” option which will guide you through creating a profile and completing the membership enrollment and payment.

To renew your membership, look for the “My AWS Login/Join” link on this web page and log in using your email address. From the Membership tab, you will see your most current information, including your current membership expiration date. Memberships become eligible for renewal four months before their expiration date. If your membership is eligible for renewal, you will see renewal options available to select. From here, select your renewal option, and follow the screens to complete your renewal and payment.

The most efficient method to join AWS or renew your membership is by completing the online process outlined above. If you cannot complete the process online, and you are applying for an Early Career membership, email membership@aws.org to have a PDF application emailed to you.
